Languish
I painted this pseudo-landscape, which consists of three abstract figures, to express the depression I experienced during quarantine. I aimed to capture the heaviness and fatigue of my body, as well as the disconnect I experienced with it for the first time to such a severe extent. While dealing with task paralysis and a lack of motivation, it felt more like flesh than me. The curves of the figures also imitate the hilly landscape and water features of Tennessee, where I holed up through the pandemic.
